Adding Media

For iOS

  1. Connect your iPhone/iPad to your Mac using a USB cable
  2. Go to Finder
  3. Select your iOS device
  4. Tap “Files”
  5. Select PlayerXtreme in the list of apps
  6. Drag and drop your files from your Mac to PlayerXtreme’s documents
  7. Your transferred files will be available in Library

For Android

  1. Connect your Android device to your PC using a USB cable
  2. Tap the USB connection notification shown by your device
  3. Select “Use USB to transfer files” option in the dialog that opens on tapping the notification
  4. Copy the desired files from your PC into the storage of your Android device
  5. Run PlayerXtreme on your Android device to access the recently copied files.

Transfer your files using web browser by following these easy steps

  1. Enable Wi-Fi
  2. Tap the network tab and choose to add files “From Browser” option.
  3. Note down the web address 
  4. Open any web browser on your PC/Mac
  5. Type the web address you noted in Step 3 and hit enter
  6. A page displaying all your media files and folders in your PlayerXtreme Library will open
  7. Choose any file from your PC/Mac and simply drag and drop the file inside the upload box.
  8. Wait for the file to finish uploading. Don’t close the iOS device screen until the transfer has completed
  9. Your uploaded files will be available in Library
Playing Media

With PlayerXtreme, you can cast your videos/movies to Roku devices. Just follow the simple steps given below.

  1. Play any media file from Library or Network
  2. Tap the cast button
  3. Select your Roku device from the list
  4. The media file will start playing on your TV

Note: You can also connect to your Roku device from the cast icon available at the top right corner of the main app screen. After connecting, simply play any movie/video to cast it.

With PlayerXtreme, you can cast your videos/movies to big screens. Just follow the simple steps given below.

  1. Play any media file from Library or Network
  2. Tap the cast button
  3. Select your Chromecast device
  4. The media file will start playing on your TV

Note: You can also connect to your Chromecast device from the cast icon available on the main app screen. After connecting, simply play any movie/video to cast it.

Player Settings


PlayerXtreme enables you to shuffle videos by following the steps given below

  1. Play your files
  2. Tap the three dots at the top right corner
  3. Tap “Playback”
  4. Tap “Shuffle”
  5. Your files will start playing in a random sequence

PlayerXtreme enables you to loop a video by following the steps given below

  1. Play any file
  2. Tap the three dots at the top right corner
  3. Tap “Playback”
  4. Tap “Repeat”
  5. You can choose “Repeat once” to loop the file once or “Repeat forever” to play the file repeatedly.

PlayerXtreme supports increasing/decreasing brightness with swipe gestures. Follow these steps:

For iOS

  1. Play any file
  2. Use up/down swipe gestures on the right side of the player screen to increase/decrease brightness

For Android

  1. Play any file
  2. Use up/down swipe gestures on the left side of the player screen to increase/decrease brightness

PlayerXtreme supports increasing/decreasing volume with swipe gestures. Follow these steps:

For iOS

  1. Play any file
  2. Use up/down swipe gestures on the left side of the player screen to increase/decrease volume

For Android

  1. Play any file
  2. Use up/down swipe gestures on the right side of the player screen to increase/decrease volume

You can select and download subtitles by following the below-mentioned steps:

  1. Open PlayerXtreme and play any media file
  2. Tap the “cc” button on the player screen
  3. Tap on “Download Subtitles”
  4. Search for a movie/TV show from the search bar and download a subtitles file.
  5. You can also add and use your own subtitles. Just make sure they are with the same name as your video/movie and in the same location.

Organizing Media

You can transfer your data to the by following these methods:

1- Via USB cable:

-Connect your iPhone to your computer using the USB cable.
-Open iTunes and select your iPhone.
-Click on “File sharing”
-Select Playerxtreme from the Apps list
-Copy all your data to your computer
-Connect your other iPhone to your computer using the USB cable.
-Open iTunes and select your iPhone.
-Click on “File sharing”
-Select Playerxtreme from the Apps list
-Drag & Drop all in PlayerXtreme.

2- Via Browser:

-Launch the app

-Tap on the network and then on “from browser”

-Open the given link in your PC browser

-You will get all your video data on the browser and download them to your PC.

-Close the app and open a new version

-Tap on the network and then on “from browser”

-Open the given link in your PC browser

-Drag all your backed-up video files in it. You will get them on your newer version.

You can hide your private folder without a passcode by following the steps:

  1. Launch the app
  2. Tap on the Menu icon at the top left corner.
  3. On the Menu screen, find “List” and tap on it.
  4. Turn the slider off for “Show Hidden items
  5. Navigate back to the library and long-tap on the folder you want to hide.
  6. Tap on “Hide


With PlayerXtreme you can move your files and folders in Library. Just follow these steps:

For iOS

  1. Open PlayerXtreme
  2. Longpress on any file in Library
  3. Tap “Move”
  4. Choose the desired location to move the file
  5. To move multiple files, tap the three dots at the top right corner in Library
  6. Tap “Select”
  7. Select the files you want to move
  8. Tap “Move”
  9. Choose the desired location to move the files

For Android

  1. Open PlayerXtreme
  2. Tap the three dots at the top right corner in Library
  3. Tap “Select”
  4. Select the files you want to move
  5. Tap the move icon
  6. Choose the desired location to move the files

With PlayerXtreme you can rename your files or folders from Library. Just follow these steps:

For iOS

  1. Open PlayerXtreme
  2. Longpress on any file in Library
  3. Tap “Rename”
  4. Choose a new name for the file
  5. Tap “Save” to confirm

For Android

  1. Open PlayerXtreme
  2. Tap the three dots at the top right corner in Library
  3. Tap “Select”
  4. Select the file you want to rename
  5. Tap the pen icon
  6. Choose a new name for the file
  7. Tap “OK” to confirm

With PlayerXtreme you can delete your files from Library. Just follow these steps:

For iOS

  1. Open PlayerXtreme
  2. Longpress on any file in Library
  3. Tap “Delete”
  4. To delete multiple files, tap the three dots at the top right corner in Library
  5. Tap “Select”
  6. Select the files you want to delete
  7. Tap “Delete”

For Android

  1. Open PlayerXtreme
  2. Tap the three dots at the top right corner in Library
  3. Tap “Select”
  4. Select the files you want to delete
  5. Tap the bin icon

You can edit and change the meta information for your movies in PlayerXtreme, if the movie title does not match with the meta information displayed. To edit meta information, follow these steps:

  1. From the library, select a movie file.
  2. To edit meta information tap on the “pen” icon.
  3. Search for a movie title to match your file and select it.
  4. The meta information will change according to the title you selected.
  5. If you’re satisfied with the change head over to the library to preview it.

With PlayerXtreme you can share your files to other apps. Follow these steps:

  1. Open PlayerXtreme
  2. Longpress on any file in Library
  3. Tap “Open With”
  4. Choose any app from the list to share the file.

To create a new folder in PlayerXtreme, follow these simple steps

For iOS

  1. Tap on the three dotted line at the top right in library. Tap on “Add folder” 
  2. A menu will pop up, enter the name of the folder and press “Save”
  3. A new folder will be created and will be available in Library

For Android

  1. Open PlayerXtreme
  2. Tap the three dots at the top right corner in Library
  3. Tap “New Folder”
  4. A menu will pop up, enter the name of the folder and press “OK”
  5. A new folder will be created and will be available in Library

Connecting to Network

With PlayerXtreme you can access and stream your shared media files from your Windows PC over Wi-Fi. Watch this tutorial to set up file sharing on Windows.

Once you have shared your files, follow these steps:

  1. Open PlayerXtreme and tap on “Network”
  2. Tap on your Windows PC name in “Discovered” shares. Please make sure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network
  3. PlayerXtreme will connect to the Windows share and you’ll be able to access and play or your media files over Wi-Fi.
  4. You can also download your shared network files to Library. Just longpress on any file in and tap “Download”.
Billing & Subscription

This can happen due to any of the following reasons:

1. I deleted and reinstalled the app

If you reinstalled the app, you might need to restore the purchase from the Upgrade screen. Here is how you can do this:

2. I purchased Xtreme Pro in another app

Purchasing Xtreme Pro in any of our apps makes it valid for all other Xtreme apps. Here is what you can do to restore Xtreme Pro in all apps:

  1. Launch the app in which you have purchased the Xtreme Pro.
  2. Go to the Upgrade screen and select restore.

All Xtreme Apps would now have Xtreme Pro unlocked.

3. I reset my iPhone/iPad or moved to a new iPhone/iPad

If you reset your iPhone or iPad you might need to restore your purchases. You can also use Xtreme Pro on multiple iPhones and iPads. You can also share it with your entire family.

4. I upgraded to Xtreme Pro in the old (Blue Icon) app

We need to bring your upgrade to the new app to make it work. Please follow these steps to get your upgrade restored in the new (Orange Icon) app:

  1. Send us the screenshot of the app upgrade screen or receipt of your purchase.
  2. We will transfer your purchase to the new version.

You can upgrade to the Pro version to unlock pro features like subtitles, Chromecast, volume boost, AirPlay, passcode lock and much more. Follow these steps

  1. Open PlayerXtreme
  2. Go to the menu at the top left in Library
  3. Tap “Learn More”
  4. Choose to purchase a monthly (charged per month) or lifetime (charged once) upgrade.
  5. You can also purchase PlayerXtreme PRO directly from the App Store.

If you have purchased the app before you can restore your purchase to continue enjoying Pro features on any of your devices. Follow these steps:

  1. Open the menu at the top left in Library
  2. Tap “Learn more”
  3. Scroll down the menu and tap “Restore” to restore your purchase.
Connecting to Chromecast/Roku/Samsung TV on iOS 14

Please give the app permission to find and connect to your Chromecast/Roku/Samsung TV devices on your local network. Follow these steps:

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad
  2. Scroll down and select PlayerXtreme
  3. Tap the button next to Local Network to enable it
  4. Open PlayerXtreme
  5. Try connecting to Chromecast/Roku/Samsung TV again
